About this publication
Who publishes AECAI
AECAI helps leaders of architecture, engineering, and construction firms evaluate AI through the realities of project delivery, professional liability, and firm operations.
Who is behind AECAI
AECAI is published by Advisor Labs, an AI consulting firm that works with AEC firms and other operating businesses. The publication is part of that firm. It is not presented as an independent third-party review business, and every page of this site says so.
Editorial purpose
Our purpose is to give principals, managing partners, COOs, CFOs, precon directors, and technology directors at mid-market AEC firms useful context for decisions they already face. Coverage focuses on project delivery workflows, preconstruction and bidding, risk and contract questions, back-office operations, vendor evaluation, and measurable operating value. We do not cover design-tool hype, generative concept renders, or robotics.
Editorial standards
- Material claims about vendors, contract language, insurance practice, and market activity link to an original or authoritative source.
- Analysis distinguishes verified facts, vendor statements, and editorial judgment.
- Coverage evaluates operating fit, accuracy risk, integration burden, and evidence, not only product features.
- Vendor coverage takes no vendor money. Phase 1 of this publication carries no affiliate links and no paid placement. If a commercial relationship ever becomes relevant to an article, the article will disclose it directly.
- Corrections are made promptly when reliable evidence shows published information is inaccurate.
- Nothing publishes without editorial review and explicit approval.
The liability line
One rule governs everything on this site: we never imply that AI can replace licensed professional judgment or sealed work product. Content that goes near design or engineering deliverables states that boundary explicitly. The workflows we cover are the documentation, coordination, and administration around professional judgment, never the judgment itself.
What this site is not
Content on aecaiconsulting.com is research and educational information for firm leadership. It is not engineering advice, legal advice, or insurance advice, and it does not create a professional relationship of any kind. Decisions about contract language, insurance coverage, and professional practice belong with your counsel, your carrier, and your licensed professionals.
Commercial disclosure
Advisor Labs provides consulting services related to topics covered on this site. Links to advisorlabs.com include attribution parameters so the firm can understand whether AECAI generated a visit or inquiry. If a piece of analysis leads you to want implementation help, that conversation starts here.
